A bit of background on the 10 recitations
The ten recitations are part of what was revealed in the Qur’an. They stem from different companions (sahabah) who recited the Quran to the prophet (saw) and he verified their authenticity. These companions then preserved as part of the quran through generations of students and teachers.
The recitation most of us are used to is Hafs through his teacher Asim. Another common one is Warsh through his teacher Nafi’.

I didn’t understand the simultaneous nature of the recitation. Why was the verse alif laam meem recited in between the verses of fatiha?
