This a growing reality in the world, not just amongst non-Muslims. The objectification of women in our society is abhorrent and its consequences are far-reaching. The Everyday Sexism Project is a project designed to confront this growing reality and curb the tide thats coming in. This is a project we really should be supporting, before its too late to reverse.

A journalist who set up a project to catalogue incidents of everyday sexism is calling for the sexism to be recognised and believed.

Laura Bates started the Everyday Sexism Project after becoming frustrated with the way women are portrayed in the media. Since launching it ten months ago, 20,000 people have submitted their own examples through social media.
