God says in the Qur’an:
“Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves”
[2:222]
The form of the word ‘tawaabeen’ indicates the action is repeated over and over again, and repentance as an action infers that disobedience was performed before hand.
So why does Allah *love* those constantly sinning and repenting? To give us hope that we can ALWAYS come back to him no matter how great the sin.
Oh my soul, do not despair over an error which may appear immense,
For surely even grave sins, with divine forgiveness, are more like minor lapses”
